(Received this day at 11.55 a.m.). 17. President Roosevelt froze the French credits in the United States. The total is estimated to be a. thousand million dollars. The order is so broad, that it includes bank deposits, gold securities, industrial and real estate investments and /even the liner Normandie, berthed at New York.

WASHINGTON, June 17. i Senator Hull said that the United States is closely watching in Europe, which anight affect the French possessions in the Western Hemisphere.
