The British United Press Paris correspondent states: Military circles estimate the German casualties at five hundred thousand, and the proportion of one killed to seven wounded. The Allies casualties are one hundred thousand. 219 NAMES. (Received this day at 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, May 22. The Air Ministry’s thirty-first casualty list contains 219 names, including fifteen killed in action and 135 missing. We captured Neufchateu forts. Twelve Allied officers and 500 men were taken prisoner. The air force fired the railway stations at Compiegne and Creil. An Allied cruiser, merchantman, ami transport, were destroyed Dear tin- French and Belgian coasts. Two U-boats were sunk in a French Channel port, The Allies lost 120 planes i yesterday, and ten Gorman planes are missing. In Zeeland fighting, which ended on May 19, 1000 French and 13.000 Dutch were taken prisoner. Allied planes flew over west Germany and dropped bombs at random. They failed to hit military objectives. Two Allied planes were brought down.
