For being in *a state of intoxication while in charge of a'motor-car, two men were sentenced by Air Orr Walker in the Police Court. William Arthur Hawkins, 40, a salesman, pleaded not guilty and was sentenced , to two weeks’imprisonment, and his license was cancelled, none to issue for four years. This) was his fifth conviction for such in offence./ Arthur Vaughan, a labourer, 26, pleaded guilty. The police said he was so drunk that he could mot walk properly. He was sentenced to two weeks’ imprisonment, and his license was cancelled for 18 months.
