STUMP SAVES CAR

FROM 150 ft. DROP WOLLONGONG, 9fay 1. After crashing through a. safety fence on Bulli Pass this morning, a motor car was held by a tree stump on tbe edge of a drop of more than 150 ft'. Messrs. Rov Oritcher, 40, of Railway Street, Corrimal; Harry Critcher, 32, of Russell Vale; and tbe latter’s two young children were in the car. It skidded when passing a motor lorry, about 400 yards from the top of the pass. The windscreen was shattered and both men who were in the Iront seat wore cut about the face. After receiving medical atttcntion they were allowed to return home. The two children in the back seat were uninjured.
