WESTLAND SUB-UNION. At the weekly meeting of the Westland Rugby Sub-Union there were present:—Messrs A. H. Lawn (chairman), G. Shaw, S. Havill, B. Kelly, S. Moore, j. Coulson, A. Stevenson, C. L. Harper,, W. J. Richards, and K. W. Heenan. It was decided that the competitions be for senior and president’s grades. The limits of the president’s grade were fixed at under lOst lOlbs and under 19 years of age on May 1. Nominations were received as follow :—Senior: Kiwi A, Kiwi B, Excelsiors, Ruatapu, Ross and Kokatahi. President’s grade: Pirates A, Pirates B Kiwi Kokatahi and School. 1 ) J ' . , , ' It was resolved that in cases where two teams are nominated in one grade by one club the players must remain members of that particular team throughout the season, subject to transfer through the Union. It was decided to forward a letter of appreciation for past services to .Mr Marsh, of Ruatapu, who is leaving the district.

The draw for Saturday next was arranged as follows: —Senior: Kiwi A v. Excelsiors on Cass Square, 2.30 p.m. (Dr. Brown); Kiwi B v. Ruatapu on Cass Square, 2.30 p.m. (Mr D. Stuart); Kokatahi v. Ross, at Ross, 2.30 p.m. Mr D. Head).

President’s grade: Kiwi .v. Pirates A at Woodstock, 2 p.m. (Mr J. Griffiths) ; School v. Pirates B at Cass Square, 1.15 p.m. (Mr J. Coulson); Kokatahi a bye.
