from Kanieri road, Hokitika, to Karoro, Greymouth.

Taylor, ' M Jones,' W. Wilmott (Tima.ru), A. Dale (Tiffiaru), D. Mcrland (Christchurch), E. Guthrie (Christchurch), J. Newlove (Clirutchurch), R. Sutherland (Christchurch), I. Sutherland ' (Christchurch), A. Cleniehce (Christchurch), Manger (Christchurch), L. Hunt (Christchurch), A. F. Day (Christchurch). D. Morland, formerly of ureymouth is the present holder of' the title. J. Newlove, N.Z. -J-mile champion and fastest tiiiie in the 1939 Waimate-Christchurcli race. A Clemence first and fastest 1938 tVaimateChristchurch race. W. Wilmott,' 1938 N.Z. 50 mile champion. The Sutherland brothers were scratch men ’ in the 1939 Waimfite-ChfMchurcli, and A. F. Day is "a promising' amateur who will be competing' in his first cash race. These with P. Duffy will make tlie best bunch of back markers seen on the West Coast for many years.
