The conditions at the week-end for the cricket match Hone Hcke (Denniston) versus the Westland Association team were very fine, and there was nothing to hinder the game, thus giving spectators a pleasant cricket. Parker 1(3, J. Peake 18, A. Johnstone 14, and A. Howat 17. G. MacFadven took six wickets for 44, P. Allott three for 34, and Lightbrown one for seven. G. Stapleton took three for 21, Neil five for 19, T. Henderson one for eight, F.. Parker one for five. Westland won by seven runs.
