SCHOOLCHILDRENS’ EFFORT. J Last Tuesday, the Headmaster of the Hokitika District High School announced that a “Penny Drive” would be made in the. school for funds for-'" the Y.M.C.A. and Salvation Army Soldiers’ Appeal Fund'. The idea was taken up enthusiastically by teachers, and children alike; and great competi-. tion resulted amongst the classes.
