PURSUANT to Section 99 of “The [ ’ Counties Act, 1920” Public Not- | ice is hereby given that the Westland I County Council-proposes to confirm, at a meeting of the said Council to be held in the County. Chambers, Hokitika, at 2 o’clock on TUESDAY the 9th day of APRIL, 1940, the following resolution which was passed at a spe'cia' meeting of the said County Council held at 2 o’clock oii Tuesday the 12th day of March, 1940: “1. That the ' Westland County Council proceed to borrow and raiseunder the provision of Section 17 Sub: Section’ (e) of"“The Local Bodies Loam Act 1926” the necessary content in the form prescribed by regulations ol the ratepayers' having been‘ duly obtained and in pursuance 6f all other acts and powers if any enabling it in that behalf, a special'loan of Five hundred and fifty pounds (£550) required for the purpose of’erecting protection Works on portion of the Little 'Wanganui 1 (Poems!) River in Westland. •2. That such loan be called ' “The Little Wanganui (Poerua) River Pro. tection Works Loan 1940,” 3. That such special loan be repayable in five years. 4: That the rate of interest on the said special loan’shall be £4 10s pei centum per annum. 5. That the security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest thereon be a special rate of eleven-thirty-seconds (11/32nds) of a penny in the pound on’ the' rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in that part of tin Westland County comprising all that area iii the Inter-Wanganui District lying between the Big Wanganui River to the northward and the Little Wanganui (Poerua) River to the southward bounded to the eastward by the Wilberg Range from above the Big Wanganui River Traffic- Bridge to the junction with.
