RIOT IN HOBART GAOL (Australian Press Association). HOBART, September 25. Prisoners in Hobart Gaol attacked warders and damaged the prison property during a demontsration. A warder was taken to hospital with serious head injuries, and a prisoner was shot and wounded in a leg. Tlie disturbance was quelled without outside help. Many windows in the gaol were broken. A PILOT INJURED. SYDNEY, September ’25. Messages from Salama.ua. state that Pilot H. Bond, whose aeroplane crashed in the ranges last 'Thursday was brought into Wau to-day, suffering from burns and other injuries. ANZAC VISIT TO N.Z. OFF. SYDNEY, September 25. The plans |or. the visit of a contingent of Australian War Veterans to New Zealand next April have been abandoned.
