BOW CHAIN CLOSER TO SHORE

WANGANUI, September 5

The Port Bowen, having been stationary since Friday, moved again last night. The bow has come nearly a chain closer inshore, and the Port Bowen has moved 18 feet further along the beach in a southerly direction. The ramp built icr unloading now points past the stern of the vessel, which is /being severely pounded by heavy seas. All unloading was suspended to-day.
