Sir Norman Brookes told the Australian Associated Press that the visit of the four professionals would not affect a visit of American amateurs for which he is negotiating. He added that the United States Lawn Tennis Association viewed-this proposal favourably The personnel of the team would be decided after the National Singles. He said that the amateurs would compete in the Australian Championships, adding that the Australian, tennis public' in any event was large enough to support the two tours., . •
