OSLO CONVENTION

A special Cabinet meeting decided to propose that the signatories of the Oslo Convention Belgium, Holland, Swe. den, Norway, Luxemburg, Denmark and Finiapd—jointly appeal for peace. King Leopold is inviting'seven Foreign Ministers to Brussels for a conference on' August 23. An appeal will bo addressed to the great Powers, urging their utmost to avoid a war which will lead to untold sufferings on their own peoples and also smaller nations not concerned with their quarrels. Norway, Sweden and Denmark have already agreed to attend the conference.
