MISSING YAWL
SEARCH UNSUCCESSFUL. (Per Press Association.—Copyright/. GISBORNE, August 1. North and south-bound air-liners this morning traversed; the coastal routes, going some distance to sea in an endeavour to locate the auxiliary yawl, Titi, which, put to sea on Sunday morning and has not yet been located. Tire vessel is manned by the owner, Gordcn Moriee, and * carries food and water sufficient for two days. The Titi was reported to have been sighted off Tolaga ; Bay .at 11.30 yesterday imorning, and off Tokomaru Ba-f at 3 p.m., but owing to heavy seds running it was impossible, to render assistance from the shore. No further reports were received to-day, the/ air. r liners having failed to sight th<A vessel. Coastal vessels leaving Auckland to-rtight have been requested to keep a look-out f:;r the missing craft.
