The Soldiers’ Civil Re-Establishment) League, in view of the fact that trie number of men needing assistance m employment, is increasing witn rue years, proposes to preate public, interest l|y v a3di£ioriai activities during* the centennial celebfatiqiis,' 500 feet of space at the Exhibition^and goods are being purchased throughout the Dominion from disabled soldiers, for sale.
This was contained in a report to the annual Dominion conference, of th e League to-day. The chairman, Mr J. I. Goldsmith, said each year more returned soldiers were breaking down in health, men who found tho strain of the war years taking its toll, and forcing them to give up regular employment. It appeared to him that the worx of tho League would tend to increase rather than decrease, for some years to. come.
