It is announced that a Pan-Pacific international athletic meeting will be field in Tokio in the autumn of 1940, after the Helsingfors Olympic Games, under the auspices of the Japanese Amateur Athletic Federation which is inviting New Zealand, Australia, America, Canada, Mexico, South American countries, the Philippines, Siam, Indo-Cliina, Manehukuo, and the new China, regimes to commemorate the 2600th anniversary of the founding of the iJapanese Empire, The meeting will-comprise all Olympic contests, besides thg trans-pacific yacht. race. Japanese vessels will give a discount oil visitor’s fares of 50 pe r cent.
