FAULTY PROPELLOR FJTTING (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH, April The Motor-vessel Stonn, for the second time in the last few weeks, will be held up in Lyttelton for several days because of mechanical trouble. Arriving at the inner harbour at Lyttelton ybsterday morning skoltly alter 10 o’clock, the Storm entering tiie moles lost her propeller, and liad to be assisted to her berth by the Lyttelton Harbour Board’s tug Canterbury. It was at first thought that the propellor had been lost, but investigations were made during the afternoon by the Harbour Board’s diver, and it was discovered that the piopelior had separated from the shaft because of a faulty nut, but had lodged on the brestwork below. The propeller whs made fast to the brestwork by the diver. The storm was later towed by the tug to a berth at No. 1 brestwork. She will be discharged to-day and docked on Monday for repairs. ■ This is the. second mishap that has occurred to the Storm in the last few weeks. On a recent voyage, after visiting Lyttelton, she . suffered a mechanical mishap, fracturing a thrust block, and she was adrift for some time until her signals were noticed. She was then towed back to Lyttelton late at night. She was later towed to Wellington, where she discharged her cargo, and the necessary' repairs were effected. The Storm is a motor-vessel of 749 tons net and is owned by the Canter-j bury Steam Shipping Company.
