A three-year-old boy .-who is already sft. l£in. tall, and growing rapidly has amazed doctors.

They believe he may duplicate in size Robert Wadlow, who is Bl’t. B|in. tall. Cancer of the adrenalin-' gland is causing the abnormal growth of the child, doctors believe. FELL ON SPIKE; THROAT PIERCED, SYDNEY, March 4. A two-inch spike on an old bed pierced a boy s throat yesterday, and penetrated to his mouth. He was Frederick Allan, 14, of Wilson Street, Harberd. He accompanied his iriother to ■ the home of a friend, in Clarence Avenue Dee Why. While playing on an old bed, he slipped and his eliin struck an upright of the bedstead, from which the knob was missing. Tne spike, which had a screw thread and was a quarter-inch thick, was driven into his throat.

The boy jerked his head free. He was taken to Manly Hospital. His condition is not serious.

Pilot RedPurn, accompanied by Constable Jackson and a crew, searched four hours, in the pilot boat.

The plane which searched flew from Lisinore.

Search parties patrolled the shore throughout the dav.

The body had not been recovered to-night.
