AUCKLAND, March 10,

The world’s record for the 10() yards ladies’ sprint of 11 seconds, was equalled 'at sturge’s Park, Otahuhu, tonight, by the West Australian athlete, Miss Decima Norman, the holder of several records established at the Britasn. Empire Games.

According to statements by the- officials of the Auckland Centre, however, the record' Will not be recognised, as the time was registered with the advantage of a following wind.

Miss Norman was also a member of a reiay team which covered a 440 yards course in dUsecs., this time being onefifth of a second ouside of the world’s record, and equalling the existing New Zeaianu record'.
