HAMBURG, February 14
Herr Hitler in a. speech at the launching of the Bismarck, at which •10,000 wore present, declared that the Anglo-German naval treaty enabled Germany to /build a- fleet commensurate with her army..
“Now we are face' to face with the first' giant of the new squadron of 35,000 tonners.” Hitler paid tribute, to Bismarck, the foremost builder of the Reich. He added that Bismarck was three times compelled to resort to the- sword to solve problems unsolvable by a majority decision. He laid the true foundation of the national socialistic state in face of opposition by Socialists, Democrats, the Catholic Church, the egotism of petty dynasties, small rulers, intrigues, and ambitious women.
Hitler added that his aohieveihents were ill-rewarded, but providence, thereafter had been more just.
