A girl who advertised in an Auckland paper for a Husband the other day mentioned some of her attractions, amongst them that she was a ‘good cook,’ considered good-looking and didn’t smoke. If this lady marries a non-smoker it is to be hoped that they’ll live happily ever after as the. story-books sav. But if she marries a smoker there may be “family jars” sooner or later, to follow. .Stevenson said no woman ought to marry, a man who didn’t smoke, and there’s 'no doubt at all that smokers as a rule are far 'easier to get on with than nonsmokers. “The pipe of peace” say the Indians, and smoking certainly makes for harmony in the home in most cases.
