A communique issued from No. 10 at 12.15 a.m. states; “After full discussions on the present international situation representatives of France and Britain are in complete agreement with the policy to be adopted with a view to promoting a peaceful solution of the Czechoslovakian question. The two governmens hope that thereafter it will be possible to consider a more general settlement in the interests of European peace.”

FRANCO-BRITISH PLAN. THE MAIN POINTS OUTLINED. PARIS, September 19. Reuter, quoting Havas London correspondent says the Franco-British! plan which is being submitted to Czechoslovakia suggests firstly an attachment of Sudeten Germans to the Beich without a plebiscite but by direct negotiation under the control ot an international commission, secondly a guarantee of Czech independence with a new frontier by Germany, Poland, Hungary, Rumania, Britain, France and Italy under a treaty similar to the Locarno and thirdly, Czechoslovakia to renounce Her treaties with France and the Soviet.
