LINCOLN COLLEGE
'£35,000 GRANT FOR NEW * BUILDINGS CHRIST’CHURGH, September 15. Lincoln College has secured a grant of £35,000 for new buildings anxLr.euoyations. This should be of interest to Ashburton County farmers,', especially, those suffering sheep losses, in view, of the research work being undertaken by the college staff, 'stated Mr R. Herring, 51. P. for Mid-Canterbury. The need for extensive renovations and new farm buildings has urged on the Government for some time, and the definite information that '• those works will now be made possible will be wide-, ly welcomed. Some of'the work is very urgent, notably a new dairy and stables,! the latter of which ,have reached such a state of decay as to make them practi-i cally useless. The dormitories and many; of the -main rooms of the college, itself ■ also require extensive renovating. ’
