Government has decided to make grants to trustees of various registered ehildre’s homes' on a basis of £2 per head for each child inmate only, to be allocated Hour- the accumulated surplus profits of art unions conducted for the. relief of distress. ) ITon. W. E. Parry said the money it is proposed to allocate should help these institutions, and their charges.: a great deal, particular!v during the winter months. The allocations will be made on receipt by the Internal Affairs Department of applications from trustees or managers of homes, which will be considered up to July 18.
