The following resolution way adopted by the Otago Rugby Football Union to-night: “That this committee protests against the method of selecting the managers of the New Zealand overseas touring teams, and, especially of confining the selection to the council.” BULLER TEAMS. WESTLAND^SUB-UNION. The weekly meeting was held last evening: There were * present Messrs F. Freitas (Chairman), Harper, Stevenson, Moore/ Lawn, Breeze, Coulson, Howat, Barrett; and Heenan. Apologies were made for the absence of Messrs Spence and Stafford. The West. Coast Rugby Union notified the Inangahua Sub-Union challenge match would probably be arranged for July 2. —Received. From same, stating it viewed with disfavour the action of the Sub-Union in handing a report to the press before it went before the West Coast Union—Received. From Huntnui Sub-Union, accepting match at Hokitika with SubUnion on Saturday, July 23, the team arriving on Friday. Jul> 22. Received. The Secretary to advise necessary arrangements.
It was resolved the team stay at the Club Hotel. MATCHES FOR SATURDAY. West Coast v. Buller, at Greymouth. JUNIORS. Kiwi v. Arahura at Arnhura, 2.40 p.m. (Mr H- J. Seebeck). Pirates v. Ross at Ross. 2.45 p.m. (Mr D. Head). Kokatalii v. Excelsiors at Kokatalii, 2.45 p.m. (Mr C. Briggs). Rivals v. Ruatapu, at Ruatapu (Mr R Marsh). Third grade fixtures were postponed. It was resolved not to set clown any fixtures for Saturday. June 25, to allow ground to improve for rolling. l't was resolved to allow cars to park on the cycling track during progress of matches, a charge of Is per car and Is for each occupant to be made. K. Mclntosh was transferred from Ruatapu to Pirates; F. Ballinger from Excelsior to Pirates; S. Tulmru from Pirates to Arahura and re-graded ■ to junior; A. Tulmru from Pirates to Excelsior. J. Harvey and J. Carrol were re-graded as juniors. Under unpleasant weather conditions on Saturday last the annual football match for tin- Sullivan Cup. South versus North, was played at Wataroa, the South winning by 6 points (trios scored by J. Walsh and F. llenham) to nil
