The 1938 All Blacks for tile Australian tour in July and August, weio announced by the executive of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union to-night. Tilt team was chosen by the sole selector, Mr E. McKenzie, oi Wairurapa, after the North v. J South match last Saturday, but the announcement, was withheld, pend- ‘ ing advice from the New South Wales Rugby Union that the international rules would be, played on the tour. jS.S.W. RULES DECISION. ! (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, June 15. Tht Management Committee of the New South AVales Rugby Union have decided to accede to the New- Zealand Union request that the international Rugby Union Rules should apply to all of the matches played by the All Blacks on their forthcoming tour of Australia. These . rules are regarded as likely to provide valuable experience for the Australians on their next English tour. ! ALL BLACKS’ TOUR. SYDNEY June 15. 1 T he New South Wales Rugby Union will spare no effort to put thoroughly coached and conditioned teams into the field to meet the All Blacks. The selectors have agreed to coach A. C. Wallace’s request to pick the New South Wales team a fortnight before the'match, so that he will have plenty of time to prepare the players. Wallace will have charge of the Australian team for the three Tests. OTAGO V. BAY OF PLENTY.
DUNEDIN. June 10. To fin« weather and on a soft ground. Bay of Plenty heat Otago on Carishrook this afternoon by nine points to six. The play of both sides was of a poor standard. Kaipara and Best scored a penalty goal, and Trevathan scored a try and kicked a penalty for Otago. Kaipara and Best scored for Bay of Plenty, and Howell kicked a penally.
