GERMANS CAUGHT FIGHTING AGAINST LOYALISTS. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this day at 11 a.m.) BARCELONA. June 14. Twenty-two rebels, taken prisoners at North Castellon, included eleven German infantry regulars. This is the first time the Germans fighting against the loyalists have been captured, CASTELLON DOOMED. MADRID, June 13. General Aranda’s troops encircled the doomed city of Castellon and penetrated the outskirts, where savage street fighting is proceeding. Thousands of refugees are pouring out to Valencia and Madrid.
The Loyalist resistance to the rebel advance is only sporadic. Two detachments of the Galician Army Corps of General Franco’s army, after overcoming a badly directed Loyalist resistance, entered Castellon and occupied the north-eastern section of the city.
