P.O. ENTERED

INTRUDER C APT URED. AUCKLAND, May 3. Some young men who suspected that the New Lynn Post Office had been broken into about 7.30 last night, chased a man and one of the pursuers caught and held him until the police arrived. The police found that a pane of glass in a back window was broken, the hole being large enough for a man to enter. The burglar was disturbed and nothing was stolen. To-day Robert Cockburn, 32, miner and labourer, appeared at the Police Court before Mr Orr Walker, S.M., charged with breaking and entering the New Lynn Post Office with intent to commit crime therein. The police obtained a- remand to Monday next.
