The Waimumu Sluicing Company, Ltd., shows a loss of £Bl3 in its working account for the year ended March 31, 1938, which the directors attribute to increased working costs amUwages, the cost of gravel pump replacements, poorer ground, and, to some extent, the failure at one stage to save the gold properly.
