OFFER TO RECOMMISSION. iPer Press Association —Copyright). CHRISTCHURCH, April 28. An offer to recommission the Tees for a final- trip to the Chatham Islands has been made by Mr J. S. Robertson, managing director of the Westland Shipping Company, following negotiations yesterday with Mr McCombs, M.P. The offer is conditional on the Seamen’s Union at Wellington supplying a new crow. Mr Walsh (president of the Union) is expected at Lyttelton to-morrow. Mr McCombs said he expected the Tees would sail about the end of the week.
