FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA. LONDON, March L Mr A. W. Mac Arthur Onslow plans to ily to Australia soon in a plane litted with a roOot pilot that is claimed to be infulliule. It is claimed that the robot not only keeps the plane on its course, but also compensates lor drift, and checks any tendency to stall. After two years oi experiment, these robots have been linked up with, the radio directionfinder. 'l'lie result is that tbe plane follows the beam with dead accuracy. Mr MacArthur Onlow’s plane has been specially designed lor’ making photographic surveys. Mr Onslow, of Air Travel and Survey, Ltd., an Australian company_ has been in England nine months, studying camera and wireless equipment. Captain Philip Bailey, who developed the robot pilot, said that he hoped the flight would be made at the end of the month. The machine will be a De LJaviland Dragon. Captain Bailey was in New Zealand farming between 1922 and 1928. He went to Australia, before returning to England. I Mr A. W. MacArthur Onslow is at j bis father’s home in Dumfries.
