MINING

MAORI GULLY. Owing to the dredge crew being engaged for the greater part of the week in putting in a dam to permit, the dredge to rise to the higher level necessary to get into Waimea Creek there has been a consequent reduction in the number of dredging hours. It was therefore decided not to wash up this week but there will be the usual weekly wash-up on Friday, the I.Bth inst. NEMONA. The Nemona dredge return for this week is 70 ounces, from 16,300 yai'ds treated in 130 hours.
