24 SHARKS

A WEEK-END HAUL. SYDNEY, November 8. Twenty-four sharks "ere caught oil Sydney beaches by meshing in the week-end. They ranged in size from five feet to 12 feet When the first nets were taken up on Saturday they' contained nine sharks, a poi poise, and a lobster. Two of the sharks, a tiger and a grey nurse, were more than nine feet in length. They were caught a quarter of a milt l from Manly.

Yesterday Cranwin Fisheries, who are carrying out the Government contract for shark-meshing, caught 15 sharks off Bronte, Bondi, and Clovellv. A I‘2-foot blue pointer was hauled on board the fishing boat a little more than a quarter of a mile off Bronte.

The sharks were taken to Kerosene Bay for boiling clown treatment.
