Dr. f. C. Alacintyre, medical director of the tuberculosis institutions of the North Canterbury Hospital Board, was granted leave of absence.by the hoard yesterday to enable him to visit Britain and European centres, one of the main objects of his trip being to study the surgical treatment of imlnionary tuberculosis. Dr. Alacintyro will he absent from New Zealand for eight or nine months.
