LOST CAR COMEDY
DEPUTY-MAYOR’S DILEMMA. . MAN/TAKES AVRONG VEHICLE. NE\V PLYMOUTH, September 2fr s - An 'unavailing search- was made last' night for a motor-car belonging to the deputy-mayor of New Plymouth, ;Mr P. E. Stainton. The search failed /because the car was securely locked in the garage of another well-known man. The car had been left in the street while Mr Stainton w as-.engaged at a meeting in his office. When r*e cam© out the car was nowhere to lie seen and a walk round some of the town jy&rking areas failed to show any trace of it. - • The sequel to the occurrence, which' caused Mr Stain ton some inconvenience last night" and this morning, was not w ithout its humorous aspect. : An-, other New Plymouth : owner.
