KARELIAN' OFFICIALS ANNIHILATED. (United Press Association —By Electric- , Telegraph—Copyright). MOSCOW, September 16. It is announced here that a group of Finns who were occupying leading posts in the Karelia Republic (which borders on Finland) have been annihilated.

The Soviet Secret Police allege that Finns had crossed the frontier of Karelia, disguised as Communist refugees. and that they were under instructions of the German Intelligence, and that they organised an infantry brigade, which, in the event of war, would seize the Karelia Republic and cut off the strategic Kolskv Peninsula and M urmansk railway.
