EVERYBODY’S THEATRE. TO-NIGHT, SATURDAY—MATINEE AND NIGHT. “PENNIES FROM HEAVEN.’’ Columbia’s now Bing Crosby comedy “Pennies From Heaven.'” showing tonight at the Princess Theatre, seems to be another tune-filled treat. America’s most' prominent orchestra leader, .Paul Whiteman, Viheent Lopez, Fred AVarimr, Shop Fields, Guy Lombardo, Hal Ivemp' and Will Osborne have been loud in'tlleir praises of the film ahd its songs. A new song-writing - team, Arthur Johnston " anil* 'John Burke, is responsible for the tunes. Ihe tui|es they turned out for “Pennres'yE'rqm rljeaven” are :—“Pennies From ''‘Heaven.” The'title ballad, sung-by CTosby to little Edith Fellows in a haunted house sequence. “So Do I,” a love song which runs through the picture, sung by Bing to, Madge Evans. “Let’s Call a Heart a Heart,” a, torch ballad, sung by Bing to, Miss Evans in a roadside:cafe. “One, Two. Button': 'four Shoe” a novelty song in swing-time and ifiaich rhythm, Sung by Bing to children in an drphattage, with the kiddies joining in. “Skeleton in the‘Closet,.’La .spooky but comic number, introduced by Louis Armstrong, the famed trumpet player, who sings and .plays it. I lie songs appear’to be set for a long stay on the air waves. Also excellent variety ot support.:.
