Hokitika sails from Greymouth on Tuesday afternoon for Br.u.co Bay and thence to Wellington. ~ Last week Mrs F. Preston gave a bright little party at her -residence, Hall Street, to Miss P. in view of her approaching, marriage. A very pleasant evening was spent,, in games, dancing aad cpmpetitions. During the evening, Mr C. Preston presented the guest with, a -beautiful handbag and cheque. Mr F. Pierson responded on behalf of Mis? Maunder, who had been on the. staff of. Preston's Tearooms for the past nine years.. ;
