THE WEATHER
WELLINGTON, Aug. 27
General, inference: A shallow depression has been crossing the Dominion, the centre to-day being located east of the North Island. Pressure is also rather low over the north Tasman Sea, but is relatively high between Tasmania and southern New Zealand. The forecast is for light to moderate southerly winds, later becoming variable. Weather mainly fair, but a'few isolated showers probable. Temperatures cool to moderate; Seas slight to moderate.
