DR ADA PATERSON.

The death occurred last night at Wellington of Doctoi) Ada Gertrude Paterson, one of the best-known women in the New Zealand' medical profession. She made the welfare of children her life work, being closely identified in health camp and kindergarten ;inovements. She had been Director of . the School Hygiene Division of the Department of Health since 1923.

Deceased was a native of Hokitika, and 49 years of age, and was a well known citizen. His health had . not been of the best for some time past and he had enterfed the hospital for treatment. He leaves a wife and family of six (three daughters and three sons), a widowed mother, two brothers (Patrick and Lawrence, of Hokitika) and orm sister (Mrs \V. Delaney of Napier). ...

MRS MULHOLLAND

We regret to, record the death of Mra Ruth Mulholland of Upper Kokatahi, which took place at her residence this morning after a long illness. The deceased was a. native of Williamstown, South Australia, and 85 years of age. She had been a resident of Upper Kokatahi over a long period of years, coining to the West Coast 62 years ago when she settled in Kokatahi and has lived, there ever since. Her husband, the late Mr B. Mulholland, died some ten years ago. Deceased leaves a grown up family of five daughters and three sons; to whom the sympathy of a wide circle of friends will he extended.
