CARE AFTER ILL-TREATMENT LONDON, July 3. Capable of accommodating 1000 “patients,’.’ England’s first “flying school for birds” has been opened by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at Thames Ditton. The object is to care for birds which Have, been injured or ill-used, including wild, birds which have been unlawfully caged. . Perches, and ladders are provided so that the birds may - exercise until flight isUagain possible. British birds will be released , when -they have recovered. Foreign “birds wilt be permanently cared for, and also those unable to fly again.
