PACIFIC PACT
PROJECT UNDER REVIEW (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. June 8. The principal delegates to the Imperial Conference this morning completed their discussion on Mr Lyons’ Pacific Pact proieet during which Mr Lyons informed the Conference that lie had been discussing the plan with M. Yoshida, the Japanese Ambassador to London, that afternoon.
It is understood that diplomatic channels are now formulating proposals, in the completion of which further interchanges of views between England and the Dominions will follow before definite approaches are made to the Pacific Powers. The latter •is unlikely until well after the termination of the Conference.
