KOKATAHI STOCK SALE.
Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. report at the Kokatahi sale cn Wednesday, May 19: In spite of the bad weather conditions we held a successful sale, aijd though the attendance was not large, most of the lines offered were cleared at late market rates. Sales were: —For T. J. Meharry, 1 fat heifer £6/12/6, 1 bullock £7/12/6, 2 bullocks £5/15/-, 1 Jersey steer £5/7/6, 2 runners at £5/2/6, 1 runner at £5/10/-. For M. Wallace, 1 cow at £2/12/6. For B .O’Brien, 1 cow at £2/5/-. Two good lines of full mouth breeding ewes were sold as follows: 80 Romney cross at 26/3, 75 do at 30/-. LONDON, May 20. Gold is quoted at 140 s ssd.
