At Addington market to-day the store sheep formed a moderate yarding chiefly lines of station wethers and store lambs. Tt was a weak sale. Aged ewes were easier. Forward wethers were firm at a slightly lower basis. There was an overflow yarding ol mutton, over 7000 head, in which ewes predominated. It was a good steady sale, considering the heavy entry. Ewes showed a slight easing. Wethers maintained late rates. Exporters were strongly in the market for ewes, the butchers absorbing all the wethers. There was a substantial increase in the yarding of fat lambs. The quality was mixed. There was an irregula? sale with the best sorts at schedule rates. Best heavy lambs fetched up to 35s 4d, prime, heavy 29s to 31s 6d. prime medium 27s to 28s 6d, ordinary 23s 6d to 26s 6d, light from 21s. There was the heaviest yarding of beef for .months 665 head, the bulk being medium to plain. Old cows and light quality steers were largely represented, with some lines of well finished sorts. Values owned a shade easier for good beef. Other grades wore harder to quit. Values showed a further casing as the sale' progressed by from 20s to 25s per head on last week. There was a heavy yaring of fat pigs, with many unfinished porkers Good pigs met keen competition, with porkers at full export rates. Baconers showed a slight advance. It was a wonderful sale, considering the big entry. Light porkers fetched 27s 6d to 34s 6d, medium 36s 6d to 39s 6d, heavy 4'ls 6d to 49s 6d. Medium baconors sold from 52s 6d to 59s 6d, heavy £3 4s 6d to £3 11s 6d, extra heavy to £4 15s. Some special sorts sold up to £5 Os 6. There was a very heavy offering of vealers.
