The Hon T). G. Sullivan. Minister of Railways, has advised the Greymouth Chamber of Commerce in regard to enquiries regarding railway development in South Westland, that a great deal of investigation has already, and is still being carried ouv by the Commitee of Government officers set up in order to obtain an indication as to the traffic potentialities of the area under review and to ascertain the capital and operating costs which the provision of railway facilities in the district smith of Ross would involve.
