JAP. EXPANSION

SETTLEMENT AND PEARLING. (United Press Association—lsy Electric Telegraph—Copyright). TOKIO, May 14. The South Seas Development Company has been organised in Japan. It is a subsidiary of the Oceanic Pearl Company. The new company will operate fifty boats in the South Seas. The Company anticipate an annual production of two thousand tons of pearls. The South Seas Development Company has other plans, which include the emigration of one thousand families of Japanese for agricultural development on various islands.
