OBITUARY

The death occurred on January 11, at Wiluna Hospital, Western Australia. or air Frederick William H. Howard, oldest son of the late Air Frederick Howard, a former dairyman at South Hokitika. Deceased was a native of Hokitika and 58 years of age. Deceased went to Westraha, 37 years ago when the Cbolgardie mining boom was in full swing, and ultimately settled* in that district, following many pursuits, and filling many public positions. He leaves a widow, two daughters and two soils, two brothers (Fred Howard, of South Hokitika, and Charles, of Wanganui), and three sisters (Mrs Austin, of Reefton, Airs Tapp, of Alaimai and Airs Ward, of "Wanganui).
