Mifcartney in the “Herald,” commenting on the test team, says it should give general satisfaction, and if only the required teamwork and cooperation arc- displayed, it should win, provided playing conditions are equal. Macartney praises the selectors for encouraging all-rounders. TEST TEAM COMMENT. (Received this clay at 2 p.m.) LONDON, January 19. Carson in the “Evening News” says the Australian Test team appears to he better in' batting, blit perhaps has too many bowlers of the same type.
