PRESERVATION PROPOSALS, WELLINGTON, January 19. The Minister for Internal Affairs (the Hon W. E. Parry) said to-day that a conference to consider the Government’s proposals for the preservation of native bush and the beautification of the main highways and bare spaces of the Dominion was likely to be held towards the end of February or the beginning of March. The proposals to he submitted to the conference, which would be attended by representatives of the Government, thf Pinto departments eoneerned, and horticultural and beautifying societies, had been almost completed hv a committee of the departments.
