TASMAN FLIER
CANTERBURY PLANS WELCOME.
(Per Press Association—Copyright)
CHRISTCHURCH, November 12. An appeal to the public of Canterbury to give a fitting welcome: to Mr L. E. Clark, the Canterbury Aero Club member, when he arrives at Wigrjam after his Tasman crossing, was made yesterday by Mr P. R‘. Climie, secretary of the Canterbury Aero Club.
It was only proper, said Mr Climie, that Canterbury should recognise the achievement of one of its own air- j men, if he should be successful in mak- -V ing the dangerous crossing. He hoped that a large crowd wool 1 be present at the aerodrome when" Mr-, Clark arrived. It was possible also that a public reception would be arranged. ' < [Mr Clark is a son of the late Mr L. E. Clark, and a nephew of Mr Charles Clark, of Christchurch.]
